Your support for It’s Showtime NYC! is crucial to our work to professionally develop NYC’s self-taught street and subway dancers. It will help street dancers find a better footing in their artistic careers in NYC, and infuse more of their voices into the larger dance landscape. Through our program, our dancers gain access to the larger cultural economy through performances, teaching, commercial work, self-produced community events and through paid administrative work within our organization.

Alum are now on Broadway stages, leading professional dance education programs, teaching in NYC’s public schools, producing events, touring and winning battles on a national level, and choreographing.

Your tax-deductible donation goes toward:

• Key Elements:

  • Paid Artistic and professional development including year-round weekly rehearsals

  • Creation of new choreographic works for performances, site specific events and digital dance presentations

  • Regular and paid performance opportunities throughout NYC and beyond on performing arts stages, commercials, and community centers

  • Training and creative development with guest choreographers and pioneers of street and club dance forms

  • Teaching artist training, scholarships, leadership development as master teachers and choreographers

  • Self-produce free events and workshops for NYC’s multi-generational street dance community

  • Ongoing advocacy for NYC’s street dance forms
