Street dancing in the South Bronx: Everyone is welcome to learn moves from our local dancers in the birthplace of hip-hop in our 2.5 hour workshops running weekly each summer. Our experienced It’s Showtime NYC! dancer-teachers will lead you through the history of NYC’s street dance culture, share their stories as street and subway dancers, demonstrate distinctive dance styles (hip hop, flexN, litefeet, etc.) and teach you key moves in hip hop dance. Our setting, a graffiti backdrop under the Third Avenue Bridge in the South Bronx, provides a vibrant photo op for our visitors. Our dancers work one on one with each visitor to ensure that everyone is having fun while learning moves aligned with each person’s comfort level. We’re just a ten minute subway ride from Museum Mile (the MET Museum, Guggenheim Museum, etc.), starting just outside the first subway stop in the Bronx. Tourists of all ages from around the world consistently give us glowing reviews saying our workshop is the most exceptional and meaningful NYC experience of their visit. Please join us and support our dancers!
